All-in-One Charts

All letters on one page, presented in a clear chart. Different options include outline, color, black and white, end letters integrated or separate. These are  convenient for a multitude of purposes such as a table top reference chart, notebook insert…

All-in-One Grids

All letters (plus nekudos) on one page, formatted in a grid to demonstrate the spatial orientation of each letter and nekudah. This is helpful for recognizing the unique visual characteristics of each letter (i.e. what part “sticks out”, falls below, or above the base lines…). It is also introducing the concept of where a nekudah can be found vis. a vis. its letter partner. Presented in both siddur font and stick figures (easier for children to write.)

Full Page Letter Sets

These full page letter sets have one large letter on each page. These are great as a bold classroom border, to put on dowel sticks, or wear as necklaces for a multitude of activities. Available in outline, dotted outline, multi-color, or black fill.

Letter Puzzles

Every child loves puzzles! Using these full page letter puzzles, the student learns the letter shape, while reaping the other benefits of puzzle building including: visual perception, visual discrimination, visual analysis and synthesis, visual closure, problem-solving, concentration and attention, and spatial relation. Specifically designed with straight lines for easy cutting, children can cut out the pieces themselves as they  exercise their eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. Split into two levels, an easier level (5 pcs) and a more challenging level (6-9 pcs), there is sure to be a puzzle for every child.

The puzzles should be cut on the dotted line, and should be printed on hard paper for optimum usage. Each piece of the puzzle is imprinted with a micro-size letter, so no need to fret about mixing up pieces from different letter puzzles. (The harder level has one “upside down” letter in each puzzle.)

Simple level (5 pcs)

Advanced level (6-9 pcs)

Look and Sound-a-Likes

Even children who have a good grasp of the Alef-Beis still get confused by lots of similar letters. This practice page is meant to help the student review these letters, until they make no mistakes. It is divided into three categories: look alikes (e.g. shin & sin), sound alikes (e.g. veis & vav), and brother letters (e.g. kaf & chaf).

Letters In and Out of Order

One of the first skills a child has to learn in order to master Kriah is correctly identifying the letters of the Alef-Beis. In these practice sheets, the letters are presented in a child friendly fashion for a pleasant practice experiece. Included are pages of the alef beis in order and pages with them out of order.

Skywriting Cards

As a multi-sensory activity, children can follow the diagram to skywrite the letters in the air while looking at the letter card and of course saying the letter. When folded in half, the teacher can view the mirror image to easily model the skywriting for the child while facing the child (or class!)

Font Fun

Each letter is presented in several different fonts so children can learn to generalize the letters and adapt to the slight variations. Can be cut up and used as a matching game (or memory, go fish…)

Alpha-aerobics

A fun music and movement activity focusing on the uniqueness of each letter shape. (These correlate to the shape hints in the Alef Beis Adventures with Ziggawat Book series.)  Alpha-aerobics can be used as part of a lesson, or a great break whenever an exercise is needed – and a learning boost too!
