Letter+Nekudah Games

Get the Kammatz

NEW!!!!

In “Get the Kamatz” students must find and click on the letter with a Kamatz that pops up from its hole. Be very careful not to hit any Patach letters, as that will cause you to lose points. Bonus if you read each letter as you identify and “hit” it! As the game progresses, the game become more complex, challenging students to improve their reading skills while having fun.

Sorry, you must have a paid plan to play this game.

Split!

This is a great activity for older students, to help increase visual processing speed and simultaneous letter/nekudah focus. Split your Letter Nekudah flashcards, by sequencing letters or matching nekudos. Hurry, before your opponent splits!

Blending Squares

An “oldie but a goodie” (with an educational upgrade!), try forming squares as you practice reading single syllable units. This game is a great pre-cursor to the next stage of blending single syllables into words.

Letter Nekudah Connect Four

Play “Connect Four” coloring in and reading the letter/nekudah combinations as you go along. Read all four circles in a row when you connect four!

Ring-a-Word

Nekudos travel around the circle until they land a letter and form a letter/nekudah blend. Try to get all the blends to complete your word!

Mystery Monster (smartboard)

Click on the cards to turn over and read, scoring points for each correctly read card. Get a wild card for double points, but watch out for the mystery monster card! Each card has 6-9 letters with the same nekudah, except for the wild card which has a colorful mix.

Letter-to-Nekudah Checkers

Here’s another universal game, checkers, with an added educational twist. Use nekudah checker pieces to jump spaces as you read them together with the letters you land on. Jump over your opponent’s piece to capture, get to the other side and become king… as you become a king of readers!

Step up Travel Cards

Step up to the finish line by reading a card correctly and moving forward with a bunny hop, giant step, baby step, frog leap… Be careful not to  make a mistake or you will have to go back! A fun way to practice single factor blending!

Spaceman Sort (Smartboard)

It’s time for the spacemen to go to bed. Look at the mouth picture on the spaceships to figure out the sound that each mother is using to sing her good night lullaby. Can you bring each spaceman to its correct  home?

Letter Nekudah Puzzles

These puzzles make a great manipulative for children to play with and build their own letter + nekudah blends! For extra durability, glue onto cardstock or foam (tip: use crafters tape) and laminate before cutting out. Also great to attach onto magnetic sheets and cut out for use with magnet boards.
