After learning the letters and nekudahs, the next step in kriah is to merge them together to create a sound. “Blends” (the skill of merging a letter with its nekudah) is split into steps to help the student master the skills for this essential achievement.
Practice Work Pages
These extra Practice Pages are great for helping your child review his “blends”. Letter-Nekudah-Take-Aparts challenge the reader to separate the letter from the nekudah before reading. Rhyming are sets of rhyming blends that help your child establish a rhythm. Look-Alikes are sets of commonly confused letters (e.g. ב-כ) presented with nekudos. Each set comes with three pages.

Some of the skills taught here are phonemic awareness, tracking, encoding, and visual discrimination. Included in this 80 pg. booklet are reading pages, activities, “fill-in the blanks”, and much more.
