Dive into a world of adventure where reading becomes an exciting journey, and watch as students enhance their literacy skills while having a blast!
Get the Kamatz!
In “Get the Kamatz” players must find and click on the letter with a Kamatz that pops up from its hole. Be very careful not to hit any Letters with a Patach, as that will cause you to lose points. Bonus if you read each letter/nekudah blend as you identify and “hit” it! As the game progresses, the game become more complex, challenging students to improve their reading skills while having fun.
Birchos Hashachar
Become familiar with words and phrases of Birchos Hashachar in a fun way by playing this “scramble to unscramble” game. Players must rearrange the letter tiles to correctly form these commonly mispronounced words from Birchos Hashachar. A recommended way to play is “Listen, Echo, Stretch and Seek” i.e. Have the child LISTEN to you say the whole word, then the child ECHOes it (repeats it), then STRETCHES out the sounds, and SEEKs the correlating letter/nekudahs. This activity is also good for honing phonemic awareness and auditory memory skills.
Get the Chirik!
Hit the Chirik and Chirik Gadol as it pops up from its hole. Watch out for the other nekudos who try to trick you! Enjoy 3 levels of fun with lots of bonus opportunities for speed and accuracy. (This game intentionally includes the Chirik Gadol (chirik/yud) to help the child become familiar with this nekudah as it affects higher level reading skills.)
Get the Patach!
Get the Patach in this fun, fast moving whack-a-mole game requiring quick recognition and visual discrimination. For maximum benefits, require the child to say the nekudah sound outloud as he/she whacks it.
Get the Tzerei!
Spot and whack the Tzeirei in this fun, fast moving get-the-alien game requiring quick recognition and visual discrimination. For maximum benefits, require the child to say the nekudah sound outloud as he/she whacks it.
Get the Nekudah Kamatz!
Spot the Kamatz as it pops up in different forms and fonts, in this fun, fast moving game requiring quick recognition and visual discrimination. Hit the Kamatz quickly before it goes back into its hole. Be careful not to hit any other nekudah! For maximum benefits, require the child to say the nekudah sound outloud as he/she whacks it.
Get the Segol!
Get the Segol in this fun, fast moving whack-a-mole game requiring quick recognition and visual discrimination. For maximum benefits, require the child to say the nekudah sound outloud as he/she whacks it.
Shin Sin Speed Sort
Try to quickly click on the Shin and Sin letters as they fly by and drag them into their correct box. Some letters appear with back facing children reaching up with their hands to touch the dot, hinting to the “Shema-hand” (right hand) or “Sin-second-hand” (left hand) cue that many use to help differentiate between the letters. A great, fun way to practice visually discriminating between Shin and Sin.
Mr. BIG or Mr. Little?
Do you know the difference between a tenuah gedolah and tenuah ketanah? If so, then try your hand at sorting these nekudos into the correct box as they quickly fly by!
Match and Pop Sofios
Hot air balloons are floating in the sky, each with a letter that pairs with a sofis letter inscribed in the train cars below. Pop the balloon as it floats over the correct train car to drop the letter in and score! 4 levels of increasing speed provide a fun challenge for players!
Single Syllable Sort (all nekudos)
Enter the “magic library” where each book has a single letter with a nekudah written on it. Sort the books into their proper nekudah columns and then submit answers and watch the check marks appear!
Two Shvas in a Row
Hit the word with the loud sh’va – but look carefully! Each word has two consecutive sh’vas, some in the middle of the word, and some at the end. As the rule that “the second of two sh’vas is loud” only applies when it is NOT at the end, make sure NOT to hit those sh’va ending words! This is a great way to turn learning a “sometimes-confusing-rule” into a challenging fun activity!
Get the AVI rule!
Find and hit the words with Silent Vav and Yuds as they pop up in this fun, fast moving whack-a-mole game to practice the “AVI rule” which states that a Vav, Yud (and alef) are silent when they are without a nekudah and are in between two letters.
